Mini School on Singularities of Surfaces

6-9 November 2019

Objectives

The mini school will consist of a series of 5 courses (3 hours each) given by specialists in the area. The lectures will be in english. The target public are graduate students, already familiar with Commutative Algebra and/or Algebraic Geometry. Researchers working on singularities or related areas are also welcome.

This workshop is supported by the bilateral project TUBITAK 118F320.

Lecturers

• Pedro Daniel González-Pérez (Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain)
  Title: Blowing up of monomial ideals and the Semple-Nash modification on toric varieties.
• Herwig Hauser (Universität Wien, Austria)
  Title: Blowups and resolution of singularities.
  
  The participants are invited to have a prior reading of Prof. Hauser's article with the same title, available on this webpage.


• Matteo Ruggiero (Institut Mathémathique de Jussieu, Université Paris 7, France)
  Title: Intersection theory on valuation spaces and applications.
• Ferran Dachs-Cadefau (Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, Germany)
  Title: Multiplier ideals and applications.
• David Trotman (Universite d'Aix-Marseille, France)(To be confirmed)
  Title: Stratified spaces and singularities.
